Every plate has a story.
To me, cooking is an act of love.
From growing up eating the Ethiopian and Kenyan dishes my parents grew up on, to eating my way around the streets of London, to eating my way around the globe - I am always learning to cook.
My cooking is curious, it’s experimentation. It’s not really definable. I don’t really have a ‘cuisine’.
I started CWFArchives in 2022 for myself really. I finished university straight into lockdown, and it was years of boredom, loneliness and a desperate longing to meet new people. But I didn’t want to meet people on apps, or make never-ending small talk, I wanted real connection, it was just really hard to find.
And so the supper club was born.
The only rules were: sharing plates, communal eating, honest conversation and really good food.
In Ethiopian culture you all eat off the same plate, and I think there is something deeply beautiful about that. It makes you feel like you’re a part of something.
CWFArchives is a community. One that centres brilliant food, brilliant conversation and brilliant people.
